Project Summary:
CDC Overseas Operations Presence System (COOPS) was a replacement for the Building Facility Maintenance System.
With facilities throughout the world, the CDC looked to restructure and redesign their overseas office
location tool. It was impairative that the replacement not only identify the locations of all CDC
overseas offices but incorporate the physical location of all assigned staff. This enhanced version
enabled the ability to account for and communicate with necesseary personnel during emergency operations.
The Challenge:
With facilities throughout the world, the CDC looked to restructure and redesign their overseas
office location tool. It was impairative that the tool identify the locations of all CDC overseas
offices and incorporate the physical location of all assigned staff. This enhanced version enabled
the ability to account for and communicate with necesseary personnel during emergency operations.
The Solution:
I analyzed the structure of the current interface to determine what gaps could be filled with the
new enhancements. I interviewed the product owner to identify known pain-points and documented all
end-user requirements. I created lo-fi wireframes for review and usability validation with the product owner.
